The appointments follow the death of Executive Director and CIO David Villa.
The new hire will build out and spearhead the firm’s investor relations team.
The previous CIO became Aviva Investors’ CEO last month.
Search is to replace its outgoing executive director, who first joined the plan in 1991.
The new head will oversee investor relations and business development as well as helping institutionalize the business, the firm said.
The plan will engage in a process to select a new executive director in the coming weeks.
The university has hired its first female cio.
The plan tapped a recently retired deputy from the state’s employees retirement system.
He will help oversee small-cap core and small- to mid-cap equity strategies, the firm said.
Their responsibilities will be assumed by other team members, a spokeswoman said.
