The $440 billion California Public Employees’ Retirement System has named Simiso Nzima as managing investment director of global equity.
She assumed her new role last month.
The two positions were combined following a search committee meeting in July.
She leads the firm’s U.S. institutional relationship management team
The plan is seeking an individual to manage its private markets team and portfolio.
The firm is seeking manager research specialists for U.S. equity and non-U.S. equity.
The CIO will stay on until a successor is found to ensure a smooth transition.
Director is based in firm’s Pasadena, Calif. and Los Angeles offices.
Appointees are based in London and report to global head of ESG.
Appointee will report to founder and ceo.
