The $32 million Homewood (Ill.) Police & Fire Retirement Funds approved the hire of Sawyer Falduto Asset Management as its investment advisor, meeting minutes indicate.

The hire was approved by both boards at a March 20 special joint meeting following finalist interviews. The other firms interviewed in the advisor search included Becker, Burke Associates, Capital Gains, Graystone Consulting, Great Lakes Advisors, incumbent Lowery Asset Consulting, Mitchell, Vaught & Taylor, Wall & Associates and Wells Fargo Advisors (fin|daily, 1/29; 10/25).

The plan began a search for investment advisors last year following the departure of lead consultant Philip Kosmala from Lowery (fin|daily, 8/8; 8/6).
